A Note From the Principal

November 1, 2026

Dear Wildcat Families,

Let's all welcome November to the party! A new month brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and celebrate all the wonderful things happening at Greenleaf!

We have reached some exciting milestones this year! From student goals to classroom goals to campus goals, our Wildcats are learning to take ownership of their growth. We are focused, working hard, and excited to see how much more we can accomplish together!

November has more wonderful events in store! We look forward to our Veterans Day Program on November 12, under the direction of Mr. Childs, and our Thanksgiving Lunches during the week of November 16! This will be our very first Thanksgiving celebration in our new building, and we can't wait to share it with you!

A HUGE thank you to all our families who joined us for our Fall Parties and Fall Festival last week! Both events had an incredible turnout, and we couldn't be more grateful! Our students were so proud to have you on campus, and seeing our families come together makes these moments even more special! We have included a video of the Book Character Parade below!

Thank you for being such an important part of our Greenleaf family. Together, we are building deep roots and bright futures, one day at a time!

With Wildcat Pride,
Sonya Simpson

Spreading a Little Sunshine

At Greenleaf, we are blessed with an incredible team of dedicated educators who pour their hearts into our students every single day. They give so much of themselves to help our Wildcats learn, grow, and succeed!
But behind the people who give so much are some very special people who make sure our staff feels just as loved, valued, and appreciated!

Last week, our wonderful Sunshine Committee surprised every staff member with a Boo Bag filled with sweet treats and a little extra love! While the treats were certainly appreciated, it was the thoughtful gesture that meant the most. Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness make the biggest difference!

Thank you to our Sunshine Committee for reminding our staff that the people who spend their days taking care of others deserve to be taken care of, too! You make Greenleaf a brighter, happier place for everyone!

Our Community Shows Up for Splendora Students!

This past Saturday, October 24, the Splendora ISD Education Foundation hosted its annual Men (& Women) Who Cook fundraiser, bringing together local businesses, educators, families, and community members for a night of great food and an even greater purpose!
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, 18 chef teams, and everyone who attended, we raised nearly $34,000 in net proceeds!
What does that mean for our students? These funds help the Foundation provide innovative classroom grants, scholarships, and educational opportunities that go beyond what traditional school funding can provide.
When our community comes together, our students benefit! Thank you to everyone who continues to invest in the future of Splendora ISD. Together, we're building a brighter future for our Wildcats!  To see photos from the event, click here!
Learn more about the Foundation and how you can get involved at splendoraisdeducationfoundation.com.
