A Note From the Principal

October 25, 2026

Dear Wildcat Families,

What a great week to be a Wildcat! Last week, we had so much fun celebrating our top-scoring students from each House! Our Wildcats are working hard, learning so much, and making us proud every single day! We love taking time to recognize their accomplishments and celebrate all the growth happening at GLE!

This week is packed with FUN! On Tuesday, we will host our Annual Fall Festival! This is always one of our favorite events because we get to welcome our families to campus for an evening of fun and community! We can't wait to see you there!

We are also celebrating Red Ribbon Week, encouraging our Wildcats to make healthy choices and build bright futures! We'll wrap up the week with one of our favorite traditions—our Book Character Dress-Up Day and Parade! We can't wait to see our favorite stories come to life!

And don't forget—Friday is a student holiday!

Thank you for being part of our Greenleaf family! Here's to another week of learning, celebrating, and making wonderful memories together!

With Wildcat Pride,
Sonya Simpson
Principal of Greenleaf Elementary

Measuring Forces in Mr. Marcano's Class!

Our young scientists are exploring the world of forces through hands-on learning! 💪 Students are using spring scales to measure force in newtons (N), collecting data, and organizing their results into tables.

Working together in their table groups, students are engaging in meaningful scientific discussions, sharing observations, and comparing and contrasting their findings.

We love seeing our students think like scientists as they measure, analyze data, ask questions, and learn from one another! 🌟🧠

Community Support. Classroom Possibilities.

When our community comes together, great things happen for Splendora students!
Thank you to everyone who supported the Splendora ISD Education Foundation’s Men (& Women) Who Cook—from our chefs and sponsors to our volunteers and guests. Your generosity helps the Foundation fund educator grants and student opportunities across Splendora ISD.
Behind every Foundation event is a bigger purpose: giving teachers the resources to bring creative ideas to life and helping students discover new possibilities. We’re grateful to the people and businesses who make that work possible.
