A Note From the Principal

October 4, 2026

Dear Wildcat Families,

It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the end of our first nine weeks! 💚🐾

Our teachers have worked hard to make every minute count, and our Wildcats have been busy learning and growing—from math and reading to social-emotional learning, art, music, and so much more. I am incredibly proud of the work happening across our campus, and we can’t wait to see what the next nine weeks will bring!

One of our biggest focuses this year is helping students become lifelong learners who take ownership of their growth. Our students are learning to set goals, track their progress, and celebrate the steps they take along the way. At home, ask your child: “What is one of your goals, and how are you progressing toward it?”

This Thursday, we’re inviting our families to learn more about GLE’s campus goals, the milestones we are tracking, and the work we are doing to help every student grow. We shared some of this information during our Title I Meeting at Open House in September, but we want to provide another opportunity for our community to learn, ask questions, and, most importantly, share your input!

If you’re unable to join us Thursday, we still want to hear from you! Please take a few minutes to complete the family survey below.

Your voice matters, and your feedback helps us continue getting better together.

Deep Roots. Bright Futures. Growing together!

With Wildcat Pride,
Sonya Simpson

Help Us Fill the Kitchen for Men (& Women) Who Cook!

Our October 24 fundraiser needs more chef teams, and you don’t have to be a chef—or a Splendora ISD employee—to join the fun.

Gather friends, family, or coworkers to prepare a favorite dish and decorate your booth. Teams donate their time, food, and booth décor, helping make the evening a fundraiser for Splendora students and educators.

If you know someone who would love to participate, please help us spread the word!  Reach out to Janet Sinclair (Jsinclair@splendoraisd.org) to sign up or for more info!
