A Note From the Principal

September 27, 2026

Dear Wildcat Families,

Hello, almost October!  We are officially welcoming a new month this week, and hopefully some cooler weather soon!

We had such a fun Homecoming Week last week! Our Wildcats showed up with so much school spirit, and we loved seeing our students and families join in the fun.

Special thanks goes out to our Splendora High School football players for helping to welcome our car riders on Friday! Our kids loved greeting them and taking pictures!

This week, we’re celebrating College Week!  At GLE, we want our students to understand that education opens doors. Whether their future includes college, technical training, the military, or another career path, what they learn today helps build the foundation for where they want to go tomorrow.

Throughout the week, we’ll encourage our Wildcats to dream big, set goals, and start thinking about their bright futures. Even our youngest students can begin learning that their choices, effort, and education can help them reach their goals.

After all, that’s what Deep Roots, Bright Futures is all about!

With Wildcat Pride,

I Beg Your Parton… Here Come the Wildcats All Dolled Up!

We were honored to participate in the 2nd Annual Splendora ISD Homecoming Parade! Our Student Council members climbed aboard our GLE float and proudly represented Greenleaf as we celebrated Homecoming with our community.

This year, we added a little country sparkle with our Dolly Parton-inspired theme: “I Beg Your Parton… Here Come the Wildcats All Dolled Up!”

A HUGE thank you to our amazing Greenleaf Design Team for bringing our float to life! From the decorations to all the little details, they made sure our Wildcats were parade-ready and looking fabulous!

We loved celebrating with our Splendora community. Homecoming looks good on GLE!

Big Kahuna Fundraiser!

We’re excited to launch our GLE Yearbook Club, and we need your help!

Funds raised will help us get the club up and running so our students can capture the memories that make this school year special.

And there’s an extra bonus, any additional funds raised will go toward purchasing additional playground equipment for our Wildcats!

Thank you for supporting our students and helping us make GLE even better!

Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat!

It’s Homecoming week, and the Splendora ISD Education Foundation is inviting alumni to show some love for their graduating class through our Class vs. Class giving challenge. Every gift made in honor of a class counts toward its total and helps us support Splendora students and educators. The Class of 2001 is currently in the lead, but there’s still time for another class to rally!

You can also support the Foundation at Men (& Women) Who Cook on Saturday, October 24, at The Nathaniel Center in Kingwood. It’s a fun evening of food, community, and support for our schools. Tickets go on sale September 24, and we’re still welcoming chef teams, sponsors, and auction donations.

Gather Your Team and Get Cooking!

The Splendora ISD Education Foundation’s Men (& Women) Who Cook fundraiser is coming up Saturday, October 24, at The Nathaniel Center—and we are looking for more chef teams!

Parents, staff members, friends, businesses, and community groups are all invited to put together a team and serve a favorite appetizer, entrée, side, drink, or dessert. No professional cooking experience is required. This is simply a fun way to represent your campus or organization, connect with our community, and help create more opportunities for Splendora ISD students and teachers.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available beginning at $200. To learn more about entering a chef team or becoming a sponsor, contact Katie Key at kkey@splendoraisd.org.
