Complete Form: Walker/Bicycle Rider

Dear Parents/Guardians,
If you would like your child to walk or ride a bicycle home from school, please complete the permission form for each child. This dismissal option is available only for students who reside in the school's surrounding neighborhood.

A crossing guard will be stationed at the designated crosswalk to assist students in crossing safely. Once students have safely crossed the street, they will no longer be under the supervision or responsibility of Splendora ISD. Pre-K and kindergarten students will only be released to an adult or to an older sibling with parent permission.

For the safety of all students, walking and bicycle dismissal will not be permitted during hazardous weather conditions, including when thunder or lightning is present in the area. If severe weather occurs at dismissal, students will remain on campus until they are picked up by a parent or authorized guardian. We also encourage parents to request a car rider tag in advance in case weather conditions prevent their child from walking or riding a bicycle home.

If you need to change your child's dismissal method for any reason, including early release days, please notify your campus receptionist by email at least two hours before the end of the school day. For the safety and security of all students, transportation changes cannot be accepted by phone.
